Mr. Friend recently got a sweet gig as an art class model. Last Saturday, he gorged himself and got sick eating a dozen jelly donuts, so I ended up covering his sculpture class. I was asked to sit on a stage and strike a serious pose first. It was as if lightning struck the students with inspiration. They came to feel my face, clay began flying, and the teacher hooted with delight over their projects. The finished works were amazing…my favorite was made by a prodigy Wisconsin girl. How she captured my soul, I’ll never know. Thank you Zoe!
